We went to the Twins game with Chad's side of the family at the dome on Saturday night. Now, my family usually isn't the sport fan type, but we still have managed to make it to a couple games here and there.... there's nothing like being there at the game to get into the spirit of cheering on the team. The Twins lost that night (to Detroit) but the game was great until the very end :)
Our house is going to be so quiet this week! Hana went up to Bemidji with Chad's parents for the week - we are heading up Friday for a family get-together over the weekend. She has been looking foreword to going for some time now and was tickled that it was actually time to get in Grandpa's van and go! I spent my first afternoon of quiet organizing things in my stamp corner downstairs - I have been organizing and purging the boxes and boxes of cards, letters, and pictures that we have accumulated. How much of all of this do we really need to keep - will the girls want all of their special cards they they recieved for Valentine's day when they were 2 years old? *sigh*
The weather has been so hot here. Another good reason to stay down in the cool basement ;) Our poor grass is not looking very good. I did mow the patches in our yard last week and we are trying to water to keep things growing, but I am not convinced it's doing anything but racking up a huge water and electric bill. I am looking forward to the fall and winter very much lately...
I put my first new catalog order in this weekend (I know - like how could I wait so long to do this?) and hopefully it will be here by the end of the week - I am excited to get my own things after playing with all of my friends new catalog sets last weekend!
