Sorry for the long break - I know you all know how busy the holidays can get. We also had an extra event take place the week before Christmas. Many of you might know, my daughter Tacy has special needs (cerebral palsy) and it was our time this month to complete her 3 year assessment through the school district and that was all wrapped up with her IEP (Individual Education Plan) meeting that week. Between meetings, reading testing results, filling out questionaires, having some emotional moments regarding everything going on with Tacy - mixed in with - Christmas preparations and parties, things like this blog get put on the back burner for a while.
I was hoping to have a week of catch up with projects at home, but of course with school out that idea got turned upside down too. The week has flown and I am anxious for school to start up again so that we can get back to a regular schedule (or as regular as it can get anyways.)
My Christmas journal is still in progress and I will share more pages later. I worked on some digital scrapbooking this week - which I haven't work on since last summer when our computer crashed and I lost several kits and all of my pages (kinda puts a damper on my enthusiasm for working on it.) Don't worry, I am learning my lesson and am creating backups of everything. It takes a crash to realize how important that is. One thing that will take me a while to collect is all the fonts I lost... Right now I am working with the basics, which really isn't such a bad thing.
I am using the new Jubilant kit from Digital Design Essentials in some form on all my Christmas pages so far...
One of my favorite pictures of Hana from the holidays:
Hana's dance class Christmas party - I love photo of the girls walking in a line holding hands and how I caught the reflection in the mirror:
And finally my favorite picture of Tacy - this one was taken the day we set up our tree. The snowflakes are by Rhonna Farrer and can be found on 2peas:
I made a folder on my computer and have saved all of my favorite photos from all of the of the holiday so that it will be easy to pull from that file and create pages.
In the stamping world - it's going to be Sell-a-bration soon for Stampin' Up! My favorite time of year, because really - who doesn't like FREE stamps???
A little sneak peek using the SAB set, Very Punny. Isn't that cow just udderly cute?
Happy New Year everyone!
