It's here again! The new sets have been revealed for this month at Papertrey Ink!
Here are my projects for this release...
This card uses the Wedding Day set designed by Alli Miles. I love all of the elements she included to create wonderful backgrounds and details. I think my favorite is the little filigree flourishes that I used for the background on this card.
I got into die cutting hearts (all Cuttlebug by Provocraft) for several of my projects this month. I use the white coaster board (lightweight for my projects here) from Eclectic Paperie when I want a more chipboard weight/look. I colored my heart by pressing it right into the Pallete ink pad and then stamped the filigree detail after it had dried. I love how well this works. The color smooths evenly and I don't have to drag out paint or cut, glue & trim paper to make it work.
I really love how this frame turned out - what a beautiful and elegant personalized gift to give for a wedding or an anniversary. This found a place on a shelf in my bedroom right away. Again, to add my color to the little chipboard heart and the photo mat, I just pressed my Spring Moss Palette ink pad onto the surfaces.
Nichole already shared my little favor project this week on her blog. More hearts here!
Now, after cutting out so many hearts, I had lovely little reverse cutout heart coasters left over. I colored the whole coaster piece with the Sweet Blush Pallete ink pad and then added the back part of the card with a piece of the Stamper's Select white card stock. The 'cut out for love' sentiment worked perfect again here - peeking through the cut out heart window.
Candice Aguilar designed the It's a Celebration set and how cute it is to make fun projects for birthday cards, gifts, and favors. My favorite is the little banner flag images. I stamped my flags on white, added the letters with the Simple Alphabet set, cut them out, and then adhered them to my card with dimensionals to pop them up a bit. The 'happy' sentiment above the flags is also stamped with the Simple Alphabet set. To add a fun detail, I stamped the stars onto the twill ribbon with white ink.
I added my own sprinkles to the cupcakes on my tag and card with some mini adhesive pearls and used the circle border and a similar layout and design inspiration that I used on my little bird card that I shared a little while ago. I love the color combination of the Berry Sorbet and the Spring Moss - it's so bright and colorful and that makes it perfect for festive parties and summertime.
