It's sneak peek time for the Papertrey Ink December release!
I was so excited when I saw this set, Heart Prints, that Nichole designed. I think it's hard to find just the right Valentine/heart set. I want something that's simple, but versatile, something that I can use for more than just Valentine's Day, and I don't like anything too cutesy or too foofy - if you know what I mean. This set is it for me!
One of the things that I like about combining my stamping with my scrapbooking is creating the custom patterned papers to use on my projects. I started out stamping the smaller size solid hearts in Pure Poppy all over kraft cardstock.
Next, I choose one of the patterned hearts to use as an overlay in white ink. Can I tell you HOW EXCITED I am that Papertrey Ink will now be carrying WHITE INK? It's finally time! I was able to help choose the ink that Papertrey is carrying and I assure you that you will LOVE it. It's as perfect as you want white pigment ink to be. It is my own piece of heaven now that Papertrey carries both my kraft cardstock and Fresh Snow (white) ink!
I picked a picture to use for my page and started planning my page. I am doing a horizontal 11" x 8 1/2" layout.
I punched some additional hearts out with the coordinating punch. Papertrey Ink will be selling both sizes of heart punches that coordinate with the Heart Prints set!
On the hearts that I punched out, I stitched a button to each one...
And then adhered them randomly to my heart patterned paper with dimensionals.
Here is my finished page.
And with my leftover stamped patterned paper, I created a quick coordinating card. I am so in love with the sentiments both in the Heart Prints set as well as in the coordinating Heart Prints Sentiments set. The font combination that Nichole picked is perfect and I know that you will find yourself reaching for these sentiments for projects all year long. Nichole just has a way with sentiments that work for exactly what I want to say. I love that!
You must want to see more, right? Well, if you haven't been to Nichole's blog, head over there for another sneak peek of the Heart Prints set. Lisa has more fun inspiration with her new set, Love Songs. And Candice will be stamping all week with her new Forest Friends sets (plus she has a give away over there that you will want to sign up for!)
Make sure to stop by at the release party over at the Papertrey Ink Forums 10PM-midnight EST on Sunday night. I hope to see you there!
