Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown. Today I have a few more ideas and projects to share with you using my 2 new sets: Simple Sentiments and Fillable Frames #12.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th at Papertrey Ink.
Here we go...! My first project uses the Simple Sentiment set...
One technique that works well with this set is masking with tape on your stamp to omit certain parts. You can see on the tag that I stamped just the bottom word/sentiment border on the white strip. Next I am going to stamp the main sentiment - in this case "welcome baby" - onto another part of the tag. It's a little hard to see in the picture above, but I used clear tape to cover the bottom border portion of the sentiment.
Next I inked up the stamp with True Black ink.
Take the tape off of the stamp before you stamp it onto your project. You can see on the stamp that only the main sentiment is inked up.
Next, stamp it onto your project...
And you have the main sentiment without the bottom border.
Here's the sweet little baby card that I made with the tag. I pulled out my Night Night Moon set to add the little duck and made it into a pull toy with a few buttons and some bakers twine.
You could just use the tag itself to attach to a gift for a new little someone!
For this card, I used the "thinking of you" sentiment as is paired with flowers from the Baby Button Bits set.
I paper pieced the flower with some bits of patterned paper. The circle punch sizes that I used are 1/2" for the smaller flower and 5/8" for the larger. This card goes together quickly and would be great for mass production!
For this next card, I created a background with the "get well soon" sentiment from the Simple Sentiments set by stamping it repeatedly on the kraft cardstock with Fresh Snow ink.
Here is a look at the Fillable Frames #12 die with the "take care" sentiment from the Fillable Frames #12 set. A perfect sentiment for sending get well wishes.
I have to admit that Fillable Frames #12, especially stamped in the coordinating die cut, is quickly becoming one of my favorites from the series.
For this card, I stamped the frame image from Fillable Frames #12 onto its coordinating die cut shape cut from patterned paper from the Library Ledger collection. I stitched the butterflies that are die cut from various patterned papers with my sewing machine down the left hand side of the card.
There's a peek of the "just for you" stamp from the Simple Sentiments set on the bottom of the card that I stamped along with Background Basics: Sheet Music in Vintage Cream.
Head over to Nichole's blog to see more with both of my new sets: Simple Sentiments and Fillable Frames #12. Melissa and Dawn will have lots to share on their blogs today too.
See you tomorrow with more for day 3 of the countdown. Thanks so much for stopping by!
