Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! Today is the last day before all of the new products that the whole design team is sharing will be available to purchase at Papertrey Ink.
Today the whole design team is sharing projects made with sets from the new Boy Basics line. Making cards for the boys and men in your life can sometimes be a challenge, but with all of the new boy and masculine geared sets, it's going to be easier than ever!
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on April 15th (tomorrow!) at Papertrey Ink.
The projects I am sharing today are ones that I really had a lot of fun with. When I was deciding what to do for my card, the Boy Basics: Out of this World set was sitting near my Boy Basics: Truckin' It set. I took the flames from the Out of this World set and put them so they are coming out of the back of the truck. Now my little pick up truck is ready to do some dare devil aerial tricks! How cute and fun! I colored everything up with Copics and added some glitter for a little more bling!
My nephew will be 1 year old in just a short time and this theme is perfect for his birthday card and tag. My brother has always been into trucks - racing & rebuilding - and they have my nephews room decorated in a little truck theme :)
Next I took the fire and stamped it in a row across my cardstock to create a fire line. I did some masking to create the flames that are "behind" a bit from the front flames. The firetruck is racing to the scene!
I used a red rhinestone for the light on the top of the truck and for the brake light in that back for a fun detail. And I added some shimmer to the flames with a Stardust pen.
