It's day 2 of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown!
Today I have projects to share using my new sets: Little Bitty Bird Additions and Framed Out #2. I also am sharing Lizzie's new Background Basics: Wrought Iron set.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing will be available to purchase on March 15th, 10PM EST, at Papertrey Ink.
For this card project, I stamped the little bird outline from Little Bitty Bird and then used the solid bird image and polka dot wing from Little Bitty Bird Additions to color the bird in. I framed the image with the large frame from Framed Out #2 stamped in Fine Linen ink.
For the background I used the Wrought Iron impression plate that I inked with Fresh Snow ink before I ran through my die cut machine (see a tutorial on doing letterpress with the impression plates here.)
Don't you just love that little polka dot wing?
On this card I perched 2 of the birds from Little Bitty Bird (colored with Copics this time) on the fence image from Little Bitty Birds Additions. I used one of the Label Basics die cuts that I cut from kraft cardstock and stamped with the "love birds" sentiment and then "nailed" it to the fence with some pewter brads.
I used the Background Basics: Wrought Iron set stamped in Harvest Gold on Harvest Gold cardstock for the tone on tone background behind the main stamped piece.
For this sweet little baby "just hatched" card, I stamped the bird outline and nest images in Smokey Shadow ink that I stamped off once to get a lighter, softer tone. I stamped the Aqua Mist for the bird body stamped off once and then the polka dot wing stamped full strength. The eggs are colored with a Copic markers that coordinate with the Aqua Mist color. The smaller frame from Framed Out #2 is stamped in Aqua Mist ink subtly frames the bird image.
Before I stamped the main image on the main stamped piece, I stamped the wrought iron image in Fine Linen ink that I also stamped off once so it would be light enough in the background. I used another piece of the cardstock that I had impressed the Wrought Iron plate on with Fresh Snow ink on the left edge of teh card front.
Finally, here's a card done with the Framed Out #2 set. I used the larger frame to create the background pattern in Blueberry Sky and Enchanted Evening inks. Instead of popping up the larger frame image to frame the sentiment, I popped up the smaller frame in one of the frames that makes up the background pattern.
The starburst is a little image that is included in the Framed Out #2 set. I stamped it in Spring Rain ink as a part of the background pattern and on the sentiment as well.
Today Nichole is sharing more with all three sets that I have shared with you today. Visit Melissa and Lizzie over on their blogs - they will have projects to share with their new sets!
See you again tomorrow for more! have a great rest of the weekend!
