Welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! Today is a group post day and the whole design team is sharing projects that are created with the new On the Farm set. My project also includes my new Framed Out #4 too.
All of the new stamp sets and projects that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on May 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
My daughter, Tacy, has been doing therapeutic horseback riding for many years. She was so small when we first put her on a horse, but she loves it and it is so good for her to ride for muscle strengthening as well as learning how to care for her horse. When Tacy rides, there is a leader and then 2 sidewalkers so that if anything happens, I know Tacy is safe.
Last August, the instructor had Tacy's horse trot and as they reached the end of the arena, Tacy slipped off the side of the horse. Her sidewalker was right there and caught her as she went down (in the top right picture.) Tacy wasn't afraid, she was okay, and they got her right back up on the horse for more riding. This was the first time that we had anything major happen in all the years of riding and because of the sidealkers training, they were ready when it happened.
The sentiment, "if at first you don't succeed, saddle up again" was the perfect sentiment for the scrapbook page - not to mention how excited I am to have a horse image & die cut to use when working on Tacy's horseback riding scrapbook in general.
I use the Framed Out #4 die and stamp set for one of my embellishments on the page. I took the frame die cut from kraft paper and stamped the barn wood background on it in Dark Chocolate ink.
I used the center die cut from white and stamped the smaller frame image in Dark Chocolate. The "howdy" is from On the Farm and that is stamped with True Black ink on the white center die cut. I love the fun and rustic look of the finished frame!
Be sure to stop by Nichole's blog to link up to all of the design team members blogs to see what they have created with the On the Farm set. Melissa and Maile will have projects to share on their blogs with their new sets too.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
