Happy July! Summer is fully underway and it has been a busy one for us! We have gone camping, to a family reunion, Tacy has has school (extended school year), Hana has been busy taking some fun classes at our library, Tacy turned 12, we put our little house on the market, and have been doing lots of the normal summer fun things too. The only thing missing is a few days to just be lazy and so I am hoping I can fit them in this month!
It's time for the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge and this month we are revisiting the Signature Series sets by Dawn that debuted in November 2010. There are 4 sets in the series and I chose to work with the flower one...
I have really been into using a neutral palette with my projects lately and I carried that look into this card that I created. The flower shapes in the background were done using the reverse masking with die cuts technique, the signature series flower die, Background Basics: Postmarks, and some Fine Linen ink applied with an ink blending tool.

Happiest Joy Flower Card
stamps: Signature Series: Flower Mini, Background Basics: Postmarks, Beautiful Blooms
ink: Smokey Shadow, Classic Kraft, Fine Linen
cardstock: Rustic White, kraft, Fine Linen Polka Dot
other: Signature Series flower die, rhinestones (Kaisercraft), corner chomper (We R Memory Keepers)
Here's a project that I created previously with the Signature Series: Butterfly Mini...
I had stamped the kraft cardstock with a text background and then embossed the butterfly over the top with clear embossing power. I did a lot of distressing/wrinkling to the butterfly and I love the shabby chic look that was the result.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - see you soon for the July release sneak peeks!
