Hi everyone! Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown! Today I want to introduce the next up in my Monthly Moments series - Monthly Moments: March.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on March 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
Monthly Moments is a monthly grouping of products that will coordinate with a pocket style scrapbook layout. You will be able to use these products for regular layouts as well and they will work wonderfully for card making too!
The March set features a little bit of St. Patrick's day, a little bit of kite flying, and a little bit of celebrating spring. Monthly Moments: March retails for $15. I will be sharing a bit more about what is included in the Monthly Moments: March kit a little bit later in the countdown.
Today I have a regualar 8 1/2" x 11" scrapbook layout to share with you. Our family has a tradition of kite flying when we celebrate Easter (if there's not too much snow on the ground that is...!) There is a park near my parents house that is just perfect and we usually have the whole place to ourselves.
The dots in the background are stamped in Fresh Snow ink using the new Polka Dot Basics III set on the kraft cardstock. I can tell you already that this new polka dot set will become much loved at my house like the other 2 sets!
I stamped a few little kites and the date strip from the Monthly Moments: March set in the upper right corner of the layout. The kites are designed so that you can stamp in 2 steps. So the top part can be one color and the bottom kite tail can be another. I stamped the date strip in Fresh Snow and then added the date with a black pen. I can see myself stamping this date strip on so many journal cards and layouts in the future!
This little grouping are also images from the Monthly Moments: March set. The "spring" circle is punched out with a circle punch, I trimmed out the little "hello" speech bubble, and the arrow has a coordinating die that comes with the Monthly Moments: March die.
The journal card is from the Monthly Moments digital download that is exclusively available when you purchase the Monthly Moments: March kit. I typed up the journaling and then added the "let's go fly a kite" sentiment in True Black ink.
I am going to slip this layout right into my Easter photo albums - so easy!
