Hello everyone and welcome to another day of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! I have a card to share with you today that uses my new Ways to Say: Birthday stamp set and coordinating die that are making their debut this month.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on April 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
The Ways to Say: Birthday set includes a collection of sentiments giving you a bunch of different ways to express a birthday themed sentiment and then there is a coordinating larger die of the "happy birthday" sentiment from the set available. The Ways to Say: Birthday stamp set retails for $5.
For this birthday card, I stamped a background design using the Super Stars set in Orange Zest, Green Parakeet, Tropical Teal, and Hawaiian Shores. I added the sentiment on top of the stamped background using the Ways to Say: Birthday set and coordinating die cut.
I stacked up several layers of cardstock to pop the "happy birthday" sentiment up a bit from the card. I did the cardstock colors to coordinate with the ink colors that I used for the background and really like the effect when you look close at the side view of the stacked die cuts. It looks like chipboard with a fun rainbow edge.
The "let's celebrate" is stamped onto a kraft cardstock banner piece that I die cut with the Tag Sale: Quilted die. I tucked it right under the die cut "happy birthday" on the card front.
To finish off the card, I added a bunch of clear confetti sprinkled around the sentiment and now this card is ready to party!
