Hello everyone and welcome to a Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday! Today, a few of us from the design team are revisiting the Happy Trails stamp set.
I had so much fun revisiting the Happy Trails set. I love the pen, pencil, and feather pen images in this set and decided to use them all together on a card. I created a pretty simple, but striking background and then added the sentiment with the tail add on that is the signature of this set. I love how it turned out!
I often forget that stamping a background in Fresh Snow ink onto a solid color of cardstock is such a beautiful look and yet it is so simple to do, beyond waiting a little longer for things to dry. So many of the images in the Happy Trails set would work really well for this type of background. I spattered some Fresh Snow and Honey Nut inks over the stamped background and I really love how that looks.
I stamped the sentiment over the background in black ink and added one of the trail images to the end of the "note" word. I stamped the pen so that it looks like it was writing the script word in the sentiment.
That text on the bottom edge of the card is stamped with the Background Basics: Text Style stamp set with Fresh Snow ink on Kraft cardstock. That's another set from way back in Papertrey Ink time.
