The Papertrey Ink team is spreading out the rest of our August release projects so you can continue to enjoy inspiration from the new products that made their debut this month.
Today I have a project to share that I created with the new Stencil Basics: Dots stencils. All of the new products I am sharing today are available to purchase right now at Papertrey Ink.
I haven't tried using gilding flakes before and thought that technique would be fun to try with the new dot stencils.
I applied Versamark ink through the dot stencil onto some Olive Twist cardstock and then embossed the dots with a sticky embossing powder. After you emboss with the powder, it remains sticky so that you can add glitter, flock, or other materials to it - like the gilding flakes that I did for this project. I pressed the flakes over the sticky dots and then used a soft brush to brush away the excess flakes. The result is SO pretty!
I added the leaf block over the dot background using the new Mix & Mat: Pinked Edge die with Prairie Grass cardstock. The sentiment is from the new Keep it Simple: Blessed stamp set and I stamped that with black ink onto a kraft cardstock banner die cut.
