Hello everyone and welcome to a Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday! Today, a few of us from the design team are revisiting the Background Basics: Sheet Music stamp set.
Background Basics: Sheet Music is designed by Dawn McVey who is currently recovering from a small intestine transplant after many years of battling health issues. I hope you join all of us at Papertrey Ink in sending good thoughts and prayers for her during her recovery and healing. She is a dear and talented friend.
Background sets have so much versatility and Background Basics: Sheet Music is no different. You can, of course, use a background set for creating custom patterned paper and background for your projects. I actually used the background design as a part of the focal point pieces for the card I am sharing today.
I stamped the music images from the Background Basics: Sheet Music stamp set onto kraft cardstock with Fresh Snow ink and then die cut them with the Seeing Stars dies. I used the stars as the focal part of my card design.
I added the stars to an Olive Twist background that I had stamped with the Fancy Flourishes stamp set in Olive Twist ink.
I used the "joy" word from the Holiday Double Cuts die collection. I used Honey Nut cardstock for the base of the word and stacked several layers of white cardstock that the main "joy" word was die cut from. To finish off the card I attached some rhinestones around the sentiment.
