christmas journal

happy thanksgiving!

Can you believe the holidays are here? I turned on my radio this afternoon and the 24 hour Christmas music has begun on the local stations here. I love it.

What I was working on today has a much more spring like feel to it, but I realized that I had chosen the "thanks" sentiment to use and as I assembled the group of cards, it made me reflect on things that I am so thankful for that I can't help but smile when I think about them.

Here's the card...

Here are a couple of things I am thankful for...

- family... of course. I have no idea where I would be right now if I didn't have my family. The love and support they give me through every situation is unmatched. I love my girls and the small joys they surprise me with everyday. I love you Chad - my heart is yours forever.

- friends... I call myself lucky to have the number that I do have, but also the kind of women I hang out with. My shistahs - you know who you are... I think you all can say that our lives are so blessed to have each other in it. The girlfriends I have gained through the special needs connections, both other parents and also my daughters teachers & therapists, you lift me up when I need it, I love you all. The friends I have had forever, whether I have talked to them yesterday or years ago, they hold a special place in my heart always.

- home... A roof over our heads, food to eat on the table, a place where we feel safe and secure.

What are you thankful for?

On my side of the family we will have the yearly drawing for Christmas gifts. My mom turned the tag making over to me this year. Individual names are stamped inside each card.

I actually had stamped the reindeer (now since retired) for a swap I did probably 2 years ago? Maybe 3? I colored wayyy to many images and they got tossed into the I will use this later pile. I love this guy and was very excited that I had the exact number I needed. The mini cards are 3"x3" and the patterned paper is the new Fruitcake by Basic Grey. Simple, fast, and cute.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone and travel safe.
