The new Papertrey Ink set is out!

Here are my samples for this set:

Poppinflowerspine

This card uses the poppin' pastels technique. Stamp you image with Versamark ink and then apply pastels  - I use a soft watercolor brush to do this. I stamped the sentiment in white ink right on top of it all. I love the retro-naturey feel that this card has.

Leafandflowerdottedpine

On this card, the main images are stamped in white ink onto the kraft paper and then I used the series of dots stamp to "color" in my images. The artichoke paper was stamped with mellow moss craft ink to get the tone on tone look.

I love to use pigment inks when I stamp, they are more slow drying, but I love the more painterly effect and especially love stamping lighter colors on darker papers. My favorite pigment ink brand is the Colorbox brand (the ink is very consistent) and I also use the Stampin' Up! craft inks quite a bit (although the ink consistency between colors does frustrate me - there are a few colors that just don't work for me in the craft form). My favorite white ink pad is the Stampin' Up! whisper white craft pad. I tend to keep it on the "dry" side, which I feel gives me more control when stamping with it.

Have a great weekend!
