samples in blue

I finally had a little time to get some stamping done... I really need to stock up my samples for my SU workshops since the retirement list really wiped me out. I usually bring 2 big books filled and I am down to maybe one book full. My stamp club members love when I clean out my samples, I bring everything to them and they all pick out favorites to take home for inspiration!

It feels good to move on to new things and start fresh!

Birdsonwordspine

I had received this set, Double Line Doodles, at regionals last September. The bird from the set seemed like her should be standing on something... so here you go.

At our stamp club meeting we did the technique emerging color with the Garden Whimsey set...

Butterflyemergingcolor

I CASEd Beate's layout from the card she did for the tutorial on SCS that you can find here.

We also made a buckle card with the Simple Snowman set...

Snowmanbucklepine

You can find a tutorial to make your own buckle card here.

To color the snowman white on the kraft paper, I used a dauber and the Whisper White craft ink. I even have smaller daubers that I have picked up at my local craft store to apply the white ink to smaller areas of my image. On the face I just dauber right over the eyes, nose, and mouth. Let the white ink dry and the black ink shows through just fine.

Back to my stamping corner to make more samples!
