weekend at the cabin
the retreat

in the middle of all this busy...

It's been a busy week (and it's only Tuesday), but that is because my stamping retreat starts Thursday - I will have so much to share next week!

Part of what has kept me busy are the new samples I created for Papertrey Ink's new release! You will love the 2 sets that they have in store for you.

This card is made with the Beautiful Blooms set. I stamped the leaves on SU's shimmery white paper and embossed them with crystal embossing power (it's so hard to capture the shimmer with a camera...) The celery color is sponged over and where the image is embossed it resists the ink. This is one of my very favorite techniques!

Whenever I emboss it's nice to do a bunch at a time, so I also created these 2 cards. Both are stamped on shimmery white cardstock as well.

Are you ready for Halloween? It is one of my favorite holidays - I am always drawn to Halloween decorations and craft supplies! I loved stamping the pumpkins and bats to create a whimsical decorative paper to use on my projects for this set...

The white star is from the Textboxed set - it added the perfect touch for a Halloween night feel.

You better check out the awesome gift and treat containers that Papertrey Ink is now carrying. These are the things you wish you had to stamp on - and now you can! And it was so fun and easy to make my own metal edged tags - I don't even have the tool, I just flattened the rims after I popped my design in using my Sizzix machine - quick and easy!

Last but not least...

Halloweensbpagepine

A spooky, but sweet scrapbook page of my girls in their costumes last year for Halloween.

I really had so much fun - you better run over to Papertrey Ink and place your order before they are all gone! Well, at least get it on backorder if you can, it will be worth the wait!

See you next week, after the retreat!
