in the middle of all this busy...
more retreat fun...

the retreat

Can I just say that these women are just my most favorite friends in the whole world? We had so much fun this past weekend learning, sharing, shopping, playing, laughing, and crying together. It's exactly what a girl needs to carry on everyday in the real world.

This group is one I first became a part of way back when SCS was new and small. We have since stuck together and as I mentioned before, times we spend together are some of my best times. It's amazing what this little hobby of stamping, paper crafting, and the internet has brought me. I get tears just thinking about it (or it might be that I really need to catch up on my sleep lost during the weekend...) The only change that I would make is that everyone in our group could have been there - maybe next year!

When I took the bookbinding class from Donna Downey last spring, I absolutely knew that this would be my project and my gift for everyone at the retreat:

Every book is different and unique - just like the friendships that I hold with everyone that received them. The tags on the covers coordinate with the name tag tags I shared a few weeks ago and they received a small tin container of embellishments to get them started on filling up their books.

The other thing I included with the book was the group shot from the weekend and individual photos of everyone that attended the retreat. I can't wait to put my own book together with the pictures and embellishments and journal my favorite memories.

I have lots more to share about our weekend... more to come soon!

And to my shistahs - thank you so much for an unforgettable time.
