papertrey projects

It's that time once again - yesterday was the Papertrey release! I love the new My Punny Valentine set - my favorite image being the sheep. Instead of using the stamp provided for the body, I punched it out using my mega scallop oval punch. My sheep is a bigger bigger and poofier, but I love it! If you could see it person, you could see the shimmery paper I used. I used the sentiments from the 1/2 set, Year Round Puns. For just $5 more you can take the My Punny Valentine set through the year and many occasions. It's so worth it and I am hoping we see more of these fun little sets from Nichole. It's like an extra piece of candy!

Here's the other project I did with this set...

Just a sweet little square card - perfect to tuck with a Valentine treat! I love how the heart brad on the ribbon turned out and the teeny little heart stamp that I stamped above the steam - so sweet...

The new Sweet Love set is such a beautiful set. I can see this set for weddings (like the project Debbie Olson made!) and other elegant occasions...

I love the longer sayings and how easy they are to curve to follow the shape of the oval stamp. To line the outer sayings up: I stamped the white oval first, then with the oval stamp still on my acrylic block I attached the sentiments above and below the oval. I then took the oval off the block and stamped the curved sentiments in the red. I stamped the center saying last on it's own in red. I added heart brads again (from Making Memories) to the ribbons. I will keep these out on my desk so they can be a part of a bunch of Valentine projects this next year (well, in a few months, but you know what I mean...)

Finally, I did a project with the nugget labels and the 4 oz. clear top tin that Papertrey sells. The tins are a perfect size to tuck about 6 nuggets into. I am thinking I might do more of these for little Valentine treats. They turned out so cute...
