a dream come true for me

work in progress

First, I just want to thank everyone for their congratulations, excitement, and support for my new endeavor with Papertrey Ink.  It means so much to have so many people behind me with this little dream come true of mine!

This past weekend I got in some good stamping/scrapbooking at my local scrapbook store (Scrapbooks Plus for all you central MN people) with my good friends Lisa, Bevie, Carol, and Ang. Our friend Maria met us for a little shopping on Saturday. I love spending time with these girls...

I worked on my retreat book project that I shared with you last August. This was the book that I learned to make in a class with Donna Downey and then bound up a bunch of them for the participants at my retreat, along with pictures to get them started.

My book has been patiently waiting to be worked on for months now and now I have a huge part of it done. It's definitely still a work in progress. I have more pictures to add and journaling as well, but it feels good to have finished a big chunk of it!

The first part of the book is pictures of everyone who was at the retreat.

The second half of the book I did the page bases and now they are ready for me to add other pictures from the retreat weekend.

This book was all about playing with patterned papers and trims. I used papers from SEI, Making Memories, Basic Grey, and My Minds Eye. I love how it turned out! I am keeping the photos all black and white so they will work with all the pattern and color that I have going on.

You can see more pictures from the retreat book here.
