This card is something I created as part of a card challenge that Vicki Chrisman put out to readers of her blog. I met Vicki at CHA last July and she is the most down to earth nice person. She is one of those people who you feel you have known forever the minute you start talking with her.
I am not normally this vintagey when I stamp and/or create - and the colors in the kit I recieved were definitely something I wouldn't have picked as a first choice. I have always loved this look and gain a lot of inspiration from browsing Vicki's blog and others like it. To be given a chance to play with the supplies was a nice treat and it came together so quickly. It's hard to see, but I did stamp a polka dot background on the blue cardstock. The texture of the paper made it very subtle. The papers and laces are all stitched down and the buttons are sewn with linen thread right to to the card.
Make sure to stop by Vicki's blog to see the other cards created from this challenge - very inspiring!
Thank you so much, Vicki!
