CHA 2008
July 25, 2008
I am a bit slow at sharing about my CHA experience - it's been a busy week at our house! It was a great show for me and I came home excited about so many things!
One of the highlights of CHA, for me, was meeting Ali Edwards. I have been a big fan for a long time and when I saw that she would be there I packed up my books for her to sign for me! That's Dawn McVey with me in the picture - I got to spend lots of time getting to know this uber talented girl during the weekend and we had a great time!
This is the first time that I have met Julie and Jane - they are the Papertrey Ink business partners along with Nichole. I am so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful company and it was great to get to know them both in person. I was glad that I was able to spend lots of time with Nichole (along with Dawn!) during CHA. We had a great time checking out all the new supplies and products.
We had a Papertrey team dinner one of the nights and it was great to hang out all together - look at all the talent in one spot! (back row: Lisa Johnson, Jane, Dawn McVey, me front row: Debbie Olson, Julie, Nichole Heady, Lynn Mercurio, and Michelle Wooderson)
That's me and Jenn Balcer from SCS. It has been forever since I have seen her in person and she is someone that I could hang out with all the time.
There are so many other people I got to meet and spend time with, but have no pictures to show for it. Sometimes I get so caught up in the moment - and realize later that I missed a photo opportunity.
So, what about the cool stuff?
I loved the Jenni Bowlin booth - I could spend days looking at all of her stuff. My favorite was this crepe paper ribbon - and polka dot to boot? heaven.
My favorite paper line at the show was Lemon Grass by Crate Paper. I love the colors, designs, and all of the chipboard shapes to go with it. I can't wait to see this in stores...
I was so excited to learn that Basic Grey will have fabric coming out this fall!
Making Memories is one of my favorite companies! I spent a good chunk of time checking out everything new in their booth.
I love these Fa La La trims and ribbons!
K & Company has an adorable Halloween line coming out - I think my favorite Halloween line at the show. I could take it all home!
Hero Arts won big points with me. I got to meet the Jennifer McGuire and look at all that kraft paper used in their samples! I love the new images coming out for this fall. I can see lots of shopping in my future...
So, that's just a small snippet of my highlights of CHA for me!
The next few weeks are going to be busy and exciting! I have a new venture with Ink & Nickel that I will share with you all soon, I am getting ready for my 4th annual stamp retreat in August with a group of my dearest stamping friends, and last, but not least - the release of my first stamp set through Papertrey Ink on August 15th! I can hardly wait...
