spooky sweets II treat bag

With all of the hustle and bustle of my Rustic Branches stamp set release, I didn't get the opportunity to share more about some of the other projects that I created with the other sets that were debuted at the same time...

Nichole shared a whole bunch of fun Halloween treats that were created with the Spooky Sweets IIset by the Papertrey Ink design team here.

For my project I used small glassine bags to package up candy corn treats.

I used white acrylic paint to stamp the spiderwebs onto the bags. the paint dries quickly and the messy look of the paint is perfect for this project!

I stamped the spider and just the "trick or treat" part of the "trick or treat give me something good to eat" sentiment from the set onto kraft paper and then punched it out with my Super Circle Marvy punch.

I ran glue around the edge of the circle with a glue pen and then added some sparkly orange glitter.

I am using the circle images to seal up the treat bags and so I ran them through my Xyron machine to make them into stickers.

Spidertreatbags

These spidery treat bags are going to be perfect for little Halloween treats to give to Tacy and Hana's teachers!

So... back to the list of blog that I love to share with you. I have a great list on my left sidebar of blogs that I love very much, but I actually have so many more in my Google Reader that I love to browse through daily. I want to share some of the blogs that I don't have on my list over there. And I am just going to share one today...

My very good friend Carol Halvorson (aka HB) has a lovely little blog that she started not that long ago called Happiness Blooms. She is so talented - and I don't say that just because she is one of my good friends - this girl can stamp! We are a constant inspiration to each other and some of my favorite shopping and stamping/paper crafting moments have been shared with her. She stillneeds to teach me how to use the Copic airbrush system that she is so good at and I love her for letting me use her nestabilities (because I have yet to own any!) She's also been stamping with my stamp set and sharing some beautiful samples this past week. I love them all and I love you HB!

Have a great day!
