papertrey release projects
October 15, 2008
Once again, thank you so much everyone for such a great release at Papertrey Ink! The dust is settling from all the hustle and bustle that has been going on at my house. My sets: Snowfall, Snowfall Additions, and Warm Happiness are now for sale!
I just wanted to share the other projects that I created for this month...
Being a part of the 2008 Holiday Tag Collection was such a treat. I have 2 stamps that are a part of the set - the snowflake and the wreath that I used in the project here. The stamps were all designed to coordinate with the Super Jumbo Circle Scallop punch by Marvy. When I made my project, I had yet to own my own punch and so I used the Super Jumbo Circle punch and then the Mega Scallop Circle punch to create my wreath tag. I have since picked up the Super Jumbo size scallop circle so that I can punch quick tags for my gifts this holiday season!
The Recipe Box set that Nichole released along with the recipe cards is SO perfect for cooking themed projects and gifts. I made a Christmas cookie bundle of cards on a ring that would be a perfect gift for a cookie baking party. The first card is a recipe for a cookie mix and then the following 4 recipes are cookies made with the cookie mix! The recipes are from the Pillsbury Holiday Baking magazine from November 2006, but I know that there are other cookie mix recipes out there if you look!
This last card is from Nichole's stunning Silent Night set. The flourish is just beautiful and the sentiments are so perfect for the holiday season. This card came together quickly for me - perfect for mass producing when it comes time to put cards together to mail out.
You can see all of the supply list for these projects in the Papertrey Gallery. Make sure you check out the other design team member samples - they are wonderful!
questions from my sneak peek projects:
Beautiful card! Can I ask if you cut the ribbon exactly to length or if you wrapped around the back a little? (referring to the Jingle all the way card) The ribbon is cut exactly to the length - actually I cut it a little longer, adhere it to the card, and then trim the end to the edges. I do this on a lot of my card designs!
Hang on a second girl - I want to hear more about your cup prints!! How did you make them? They are beautiful!! Thanks so much! They are a combination of printing techniques - relief and intaglio. If you are interested in learning more about printmaking try googling or checking out classes in your area!
Beautiful. I love the stamping on kraft cardstock, but I am having trouble getting the white to come out dark enough. What kind of white ink do you use? Hang tight - Papertrey Ink will be releasing it's own white ink not to far in the future and you will LOVE it! *wink*
Love it!!!! How much kraft CS do you go through a month?!?!?! If you can't tell, I love kraft cardstock and it is one of my basics that I need to keep a good supply of. How much do I use in a month? Lots!
CAN YOU GIVE MORE DIRECTION ON THE GIFT CARD......LOVE IT (referring to the mitten pocket card) It's a piece of white cardstock cut to fit into the pocket with rounded corners - a perfect place to write a little wintery note!
Happy holiday stamping everyone!
