snowfall and snowfall additions

Welcome to the official kick off of the sneak peeks for the October 15th release at Papertrey Ink! I am so excited to share some peeks the sets that I designed for this release...

Nichole approached me to design snowflake images that would specifically coordinate with Marvy's snowflake punches. I took the challenge and am excited to present the sets: Snowfall and Snowfall Additions.

The snowflake images work beautifully on their own as well as with the punches and there is more than one way to use the punches and snowflake images together.

For the basic stamp the snowflake and punch it out approach you will want to stamp your snowflake with the middle snowflake spoke running parallel to the edge of the paper - just like you can see in the photo above. Don't stamp too far away from the edge of your paper or the punch will not reach the stamped image.

Flip your punch over and line up the snowflake image where you want it. When it's all set, punch it out!

Another option is to punch out the snowflake shape and then stamp the snowflake image onto it.

For my project that I want to share with you today, I used the punched shape as a mask and sponged white ink around it.

I added a smaller sized snowflake to fill in my design.

Then I went back and stamped the coordinating snowflake images into the masked snowflakes with Versamark ink...

And embossed them with white embossing powder...

Which created the perfect border for this scrapbook page! I added some punched snowflakes and added journaling with the Simple Alphabet set onto a piece of a recipe card that Nichole designed (they are perfect for more than just recipes!)
