warm happiness - tea for a friend

I thought you might like to see some of my cup prints that I talked about yesterday. It's been a while since I pulled out my art box to go through the projects that I did in college. I need to get some of these framed...
Here's another sneak peek with my Warm Happiness set. There are only a couple of days left before the 15th when this set and the Snowfall sets will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink!
I wanted to create a little gift project and figured out that 4 tea bag packages fit just right into the CD calendar cases (this is my favorite tea that I make at home - I love the cinnamony taste!)
I stamped a few simple elements to put my gift together. I decided to use a snowflake from the Snowfall set to decorate my mug using the reverse masking technique - the possibilities are endless for decorating the cups with all the stamp images you can use! The band is stamped with the snowflake background and I used the "tea" sentiment for this project, of course.
I cut the band to fit the front of the case, rounded the corners, and then attached it to the front of the case by punching the ends of the band with a slot punch and then threading a ribbon through it and around the case. The cup is attached to the sentiment piece with a jump ring and then everything was adhered to the band and case with dimensionals. I created a simple card with some left over elements to go with my gift.
