cash & carry challenge
November 30, 2008
It's officially the holiday shopping season and with all the people that you may need to buy something for on your list, gift cards are an easy and much appreciated choice (I know that I really love receiving gift cards from my favorite stores!) The Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge this month was to create a way to present a gift card or money gift.
For this festive little square pocket card I used a piece of cardstock measuring 11" x 4 1/4". Score lines at 4 1/4" and then again at 8 1/2". The leftover paper after your second score will fold into the card to form the pocket. I used brads on my card to secure the pocket sides, but you could use adhesive, staples, or stitch them down with a sewing machine. Creating your card design with some of Papertrey Ink's patterned paper and the 2008 Holiday Tag Collection stamp set makes putting together several of these gift card holder cards quick and easy!
Get more gift card/money holder ideas from the other senior design team members: Nichole, Lisa, Lauren, Michelle, and Debbie.
I also have a couple other ideas for gift card holders that I posted previously here on my blog: check out this baby gift card holder here and also this birthday one made from SU!'s small open ended envelopes.
It's been quiet on my blog the past couple of weeks and I thank you all for your patience. We have been busy spending time with family for the Thanksgiving holiday this past week and Tacy has had several evaluations and new doctors that we have met with in the past month. It all adds up to things being extra busy at our house and I am sure that many of you can relate!
I have several fun things to share this week! Come back again soon!
