sweets for the sweet
merry christmas

christmas tags and journaling 101

We are busy this week getting ready to celebrate the holidays with family. Our festivities begin the weekend and so there's lots of present wrapping and cookie baking going on.

Here are my Christmas tags all ready to tie onto gifts as I wrap them. These are the tags that I make for my girls, nephews, and friends that will be used later on a scrapbook page for them about this year's celebration. (You can see tags from last year here.)

The cute little skating girl is one of the Elzybell's through Amuse, the polar bear is by Memory Box, the polka dots by Papertrey Ink, and the alphabet is from Hero Arts. I colored all of the images with Copic markers, the white Inksentials pen from Ranger, and shimmered everything up with my Stardust pen by Sakura. I got into the glitter for the snowflakes, used scrap papers for the background, and a bunch of ribbon and buttons from my stash.

I also made these fun Santa tags for family and friends. I didn't make cards this year (gasp!) and so this is the bit of handmade goodness that I am sharing. This Santa is a retired SU! stamp set and I have used him for tags before, but I really love him and so I colored him up again this year.

I mentioned that I am going to be a part of Erika Martin's Journaling 101 class that starts at the end of January. She has me featured over at her blog today if you want to take a peek!

If you are interested in more information about the class, click the link over on the right. If you register for the class make sure you let Erika know that I sent you! I am thrilled to be a part of the class and am excited to get some good scrapbooking done! Come join us!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! Thanks for stopping by!
