around & about sentiments scrapbook style

Around & About Sentiments (on sale January 15th at Papertrey Ink!) is definitely designed with the cardmaker in mind, but many of the images will work in your scrapbooking projects too!

 

I stamped polka dot in Fresh Snow onto the True Black cardstock for my page base and chose my pictures for my layout. These pictures are from when her class made gingerbread houses before Christmas. She was SO excited for this project and was even more excited that my mom and I were able to come in and help the class that day to help.

 

I used the 'happy always' long border sentiment and also the flower border to create a border element for the page. Because the pictures will hide the middle portion of the border, I didn't worry about stamping all the way across.

 

I stamped the circle sentiment and then stamped the circle outline image in Raspberry Fizz in the center of the sentiment.

 

Instead of stamping an image into the center, I added a black button.

 

I stamped a few other little embellishments and then played around with where I wanted them to go on my layout.

 

I finished up my page by doing a little journaling with a white journaling pen. The polka dots were easy to use a guide for my journaling lines.
