rustic dot thinking of you cards

Here's another hybrid card to share with all of you. I printed these sweet dotted krafty (digital kraft! I am in heaven!) papers out, did some stamping, die cutting, punching, and then put it all together. I used Epson brand Matte Paper Heavyweight to print out the papers. It was something that was recommended to use when I printed out the digital calendars that I have made. It looks great and you can write - or stamp! - on it easily. My printer (an HP) that I have does not work with printing on heavier cardstock - like anything from Papertrey Ink or Stampin' Up! It's a big mess every time I think I need to give it a go again...! This cardstock goes through perfectly and so I will stick with this or something similar.

The only thing that I did notice was that the hybrid ink I used seemed to stick a little more on top of the printed cardstock when I stamped. Not in a bad way, it's just something you are going to notice. I am going to use other inks on future projects and hopefully be able to give you a review on what works the best. Maybe if there are some digital/hybrid people out there who can give me some tips :)

I got the sparkly brown dots this past weekend at Scrapfest @ the MOA Archivers - love the look! I love finding something new that I know I am going to use. I also picked some up in red for holiday projects. And some other fun treats - I rarely leave an Archivers empty handed...

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
