glitter, snowflakes, and december
November 18, 2009
This past weekend I spent time stamping and scrapping (and shopping!) with friends at an Archivers in the Minneapolis area. My goal was to play around with some embellishment ideas, work on a December daily book, and a few other projects that I had packed.
I was in my element die cutting, stitching, punching (punches are all Martha Stewart), stamping, and glittering to create the pile of embellishments in the photo above. I will use them on various tags and cards for this Christmas and some of them also worked their way into my December book...
Last year, my friend Brianna and I came across a bunch of old Christmas themed Golden books to remake into vintage album kits. We had a bunch for sale at a local store, but I snagged this one to use for my own project.
Some of the pages are ones stitched from original pages in the book and then I combined them with an assortment of patterned papers, envelopes, clear pocket type pages, etc. I numbered the pages with stamps (by Hero Arts) and ledger type patterned paper paired with some of my handmade embellishments and other odds and ends.
Here's a look at all of the pages in my book. You can click on any of the pictures to see them larger.
My patterned papers are an assortment of Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket, The Paper Company, Creative Cafe, Bo Bunny, and others from my stash.
And so the book is all ready for adding pictures and a bit of journaling throughout the month. And I intend to keep up on it... and finish my book from last year too ;)
