my new copic marker storage
January 04, 2010
Winter vacation is over and as much as it's nice to have time off, I am ready to get back into our regular schedule. The other thing that I am into after Christmas is getting things organized. It's part putting away things we received for the holidays and part getting things in order for the new year.
One of the fun new things I added to my work desk in my studio area is this cute little Color Cubbie for my Copic markers. My dear stamping friend Tami McBeain sent it to my to try out. Her husband is a cabinet maker and she took this idea to him and he put it together. It was perfect timing as I was growing out of the case I had for my Copics. The little cubbie literally takes up less space than my original case and look at all the room I have to expand my Copic collection...! And yes, my collection is small and definitely can be expanded ;)
The shelves in the cubbie are angled just a bit to tip the markers just right so I can see the colors I have perfectly. And if I decide I need to bring my markers with me, it's light weight and compact enough that I can just put it into my scrapping bag and go.
You can read more about the Color Cubbie here at Tami's blog and you can purchase it here. I am anxious to see what other organizing solutions that Tami and her husband come up with in the future! I am already in love...
