introducing egg hunt
February 09, 2010
Today is the "official" start of the countdown to the Papertrey Ink release - even though there has been SO much shared already with all of the 3rd anniversary festivities!
I am excited to share a peek of projects from my new set Egg Hunt that will be available for sale on the 15th. Egg Hunt is a complete creative collection. The stamp set is a festive spring set that will be perfect for Easter, spring, and much more! The patterned paper is so much fun with its fresh spring color palette & it coordinates perfectly with the Egg Hunt set. And finally, and I think my favorite, is the coordinating egg die cut. How many of you have longed for that perfect "egg" punch or die cut for your Easter projects? I have too and am thrilled that it is a reality now. I think you will love it as much as I do!
For my projects today, I was inspired by Mish's sketch & color challenge that she posted on her blog here. She was inspired by a card by Betsy and I am inspired by them both!
Here's Mish's sketch:
And here is my card based on the sketch using the Egg Hunt set:
Does the butterfly look familiar? In the Tags for Spring collaboration set last spring, you might remember the sweet tiny butterfly tag and coordinating stamp in the set. The butterfly in Egg Hunt is a larger version, perfect for the focal point of your projects.
The daisy paper on the bottom of the card is from the Egg Hunt patterned paper collection - you will see lots of peeks of the papers all throughout the rest of the countdown.
And what would the Egg Hunt set be.. without eggs?
I used the same layout and swapped out the colors and images for this card. The egg images are also a larger version the Easter egg tag in the Tags for Spring set. I cut out the egg shape with the new exclusive egg die cut that coordinates with the set.
There's a peek an image from my Background Basics: Tin Type set on the kraft base of the card.
I have so much more to show you this week. Come back tomorrow to see my special inspiration station Papertrey Ink style inspired by the Egg Hunt collection!
