mini journal/sketchbook for Hana
March 13, 2010
It's day 5 of the Papertrey Ink countdown to the March release and that means that tonight is the night! It's been so much fun sharing my new sets, dies, and patterned papers with you all. I have one more project to share with you today. All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available for sale on the 15th (midnight EST tonight!) at Papertrey Ink.
I did another book project, but this time made a little sketchbook/journal for my Hana. She has always loved little notebooks and papers to doodle and draw on. Many of my notebooks in my purse are filled with little pictures she has drawn. She has become quite the writer & speller this past school year and many of her pictures have coordinating stories and captions to go along with them.
I ran white cardstock through my die cut machine with the Mini Scrapbook Page die until I got a nice stack for the book. Then I stamped lines on the pages with my Journaling Lines set along with a cute flower accent from the new Beautiful Blooms II stamp set. I left the one side unlined so she has a place to do her drawing.
I was so excited to learn that the large scallop die coordinated with the tab stamps (a very happy accident!) I was able to put together this perfect little border for the front of Hana's book.
For more peeks on this last day of the countdown: Nichole & Dawn will be featuring Dawn's new Delightful Dahlia set and the new Distressed Stripes set. Also make sure you stop by Becky, Beth, and Melissa's blogs to see on last peek of their new sets!
And tonight is the online release party over in the Papertrey forums from 10PM-midnight EST. I plan on being there and hope you stop by and help celebrate another fantastic release!
