introducing fillable frames #4
May 09, 2010
Welcome to day 1 of sneak peeks for the May Papertrey Ink release! Today I am introducing Fillable Frames #4. This set is a part of a series of 12 frame sets that will be introduced once a month. The frames have a great little feature to them: they are open in the middle which allows you to place the coordinating sentiments inside the frame how you want it and stamp the sentiment and frame at the same time. You can definitely use the frame and sentiments on their own as well and all of the sentiments will be able to be used with all of the frames coming out in the coming year. The set retails for only $5 and is a great way to build your collection of basic frames and sentiments to use on your projects. The coordinating die cut will retail for $5 and it opens up even more possibilities for your Fillable Frames #4 set! The new stamp set and products I am sharing will be available for sale on the 15th at Papertrey Ink.
Now onto the project peeks today...
Do you ever have a moment when working on your projects when you look down at your stamping area and think, "this is why I love to create..."? This is truly play time for me... I am getting ideas, pulling product, cutting elements, creating embellishments. I happened to glance down when working on my projects for today and had to stop and take a picture of my work desk. Nothing was staged here, just the pieces of my project coming together... bliss.
I used the coordinating Fillable Frames #4 die to create a window. I stamped the frame and happy birthday sentiment through the window onto the white cardstock and then popped up the kraft for a sort of debossed look. I have been waiting to get my hands on Dawn's new Dotty Biscotti paper - and I am definitely in love. The printed shade of kraft is just perfect.
For this card I used the cut out piece from the die cut window to create the focal point for this card. I used many of the same elements and embellishments from the first card, just mixed them up a bit. As long as you have your materials out, it's a great time to put together more than one project.
There are more sneak peeks for the Papertrey Ink May countdown: Nichole & Betsy will be showcasing the new Up, Up & Away sets. Lisa, Beth, Dawn, Alli, and Melissa will have peeks from their new sets too - you won't want to miss seeing them!
See you back here tomorrow for more sneak peeks! Thanks for stopping by today!
