all booked up (and my new stamps too!)

Welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown! Today the whole design team is creating projects made with the new All Booked Up set. I also snuck my Library Card stamp into my project - it's just perfect for a reading themed project!

Reading is a BIG deal around our house this year. Hana just started reading chapter books and one of the exciting things we did for her is to put a reading light on her bed so she can read before bedtime. It is a huge gift to me to read to my girls and they love being huddled all together on the couch or tucked into bed as I read to them. My favorite line is, "just one more chapter, please?" One of my favorite series growing up, and also where I got Tacy's namesake, is the Besty-Tacy series. I created a sweet little bookmark for Tacy to mark her spot in these special books as we read them together.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on July 15th at Papertrey Ink.

When all of the other girls my age were into reading the Little House on the Prairie books, I was into the Betsy-Tacy series. I think I was in about 3rd or 4th grade when I read the first book and I remember riding my bike to the library, excited to get the next book to read! I fell in love with the character Tacy and I knew way back then that someday when I had a little girl of my own that she would be named Tacy. I love these sweet stories and have also always loved the illustrations as well. My parents gave me the complete set for a gift a few years back and they are definitely something that I treasure.

I used the new bookmark bases to create my bookmark for Tacy. It was very easy to punch a hole in the top of the base with a Crop-a-dile which gave me a perfect place to add Tacy's personalized tag and some ribbons.

Flip the tag over to see the coordinating image that I used on the card. This one is perfect for my project - a little girl reading, dreaming, and imagining that she is a part of the story.

I have read the books in the Betsy-Tacy series so many times that I have lost count and I love that it is all new again when I share these stories with my girls.

When I put together the card for my book project, I loved the look that I achieved by punching the circle shape from the side of the library card and setting the circle image into the space. For this next card, I flipped the first card layout onto its side and used the Fillable Frames #6 die as my shape to cut from the side of the library card. Any of the Fillable Frames in the series will work great with this technique!

As always, there is more to see today! Nichole's blog is the place to go to learn more about the All Booked Up set and link up to everyone in the design team and see their projects! Niki, Dawn, and Alli will all have sneak peeks up on their blogs with their new sets too!

See you tomorrow for more sneak peek projects!
