emboss resist with falling leaves
papertrey august release projects

trees and a frame

It's the final day of the Papertrey Ink countdown for the August release. Tomorrow (the 15th) all of the new stamp sets and products for this release will be available to purchase - are you ready to shop?

I have 2 quick and easy cards to share with you today. The first one uses both the Falling Leaves set and Fillable Frames #7.

Another way to create your tree top is to use a circle either die cut or punched from cardstock. I stamped the branch portion of the tree onto the Spring Moss circle and then filled in the circle with some of the single leaf images.

Stamp the tree trunk image onto cardstock and the attach the tree top onto the top, lining up where the branches should fall. How cute is this fun whimsical tree??

The frame image in Fillable Frames #7 is perfect to stamp just on the cardstock without the die and then add your sentiment inside.

Next is another simple and easy tree card with the Falling Leaves set...

Instead of stamping the leaf images onto the tree, I used buttons at the end of each branch. You could definitely use other items as well, like rhinestones, punched circles, etc. Again I stitched the buttons directly onto the cardstock to secure them in place. My knot ends and excess twine are secured on the back of the cardstock piece.

There is a lot going on still on this last day of the countdown. Today, Nichole & Dawn are showcasing the beutiful new Leaf Prints set. Nichole & Maile are sharing more about Alli's 2 new sets: Take Three: Fall and Gobble, Gobble. Beth and Tiffany will have more sneak peeks of their sets too.

Then tonight at 10PM - Midnight Eastern Time, join everyone in the forums for the Papertrey release party! I will be gone this weekend for a getaway for my birthday (which was this past Thursday) and so I will miss all of you this time around! Have FUN!

Thank you SO MUCH for joining me for the past several days for the August countdown and sharing your excitement over my new sets! When I get back from my weekend I will share the other projects that I created for this release - see you then!
