the rest of my september pti projects

everyday treats and even more with my new sets

Welcome to the 5th and final day of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown! It's been a fun past 5 days and I am sure that you all are feeling a bit more in the holiday spirit and ready to tackle all of those projects that we dream of making for family and loved ones.

I have several things to share with you today, including a second group post from the design team! We all took on the new Everyday treats set today and I am sure your mouth will be watering after you see all the goodies that everyone is sharing.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on September 15th (tomorrow!) at Papertrey Ink.

If you know me, you know I don't do much of the cooking at our house. I do a few things here and there, and my latest thing has been banana bread. It's one of my very favorite things to have for breakfast or a snack during the day. Since a baked good from me is quite a rare thing, I know that it would be a well appreciated gift for my family and friends. To wrap up my bread I just used some waxed paper and then created a tag with the Everyday Treats set and my Peace, Be Still set for a wintery/holiday feel.

I punched holes in either end of the Mat Stack 4 die shape and ran the ribbon through it and around the bread. I tied on the little "homemade just for you" tag with a bit of Rustic Jute button twine.

To make the coordinating card, I used the same method that I used in making the bread wrap, except this time the wrap goes around the card front.

Make sure that you stop by Nichole's blog to link up to the whole design team to see their tasty treats and the packaging to go with it.

Next I have a couple more projects to share using my new sets for this release: Peace, Be Still & Fillable Frames #8.

On Thanksgiving, my family will do our yearly name drawing for gift giving at our Christmas celebration. Here's this year's version of the tags that they will draw and then use as the tags on the gift (the names are inside of these little 3" x 3" cards.) You can see my tags from last year here and then more from previous years  herehere, and here.

I stamped the snowflakes from Peace, Be Still onto the new Christmas tree die. The sentiment is from the Fillable Frames #8 set and the patterned paper in the background is from Lisa's new Sugar Plum collection.

My last project to share on this last countdown day is this card using both of my new sets and the emboss resit technique - one of my favorites. I stamped the sentiment first in True Black on the white cardstock. Then I stamped the dove with Versamark ink and the leaf spring in Simply Chartreuse ink. I embossed the dove & leaf spring with clear embossing powder and then sponged Spring rain ink over the image to bring out the emboss resist effect.

The Fillable Frames # 8 die shape is cut from the kraft cardstock and then mounted over the image, framing it. (And yes, Lana, this one's for you!)

Again, make sure that you stop by Nichole's blog to link up to all of the design team members again today.  Alli,BethBecky, and Lisa will also all have projects to share on their blogs with their new sets as well and Dawn will have lots of inspiration using the Color Couture collections being released this month on her blog.

And tonight is the Papertrey Ink countdown party over in the forums 10PM - midnight Eastern Time. Stop by and say hi and help us celebrate the September release and count down to midnight!

Thanks so much for stopping by throughout the countdown, I appreciate all of the wonderful comments that everyone has left here :)
