introducing peace, be still & fillable frames #8

Welcome to day one of the Papertrey Ink September release! I am so excited to share what I have in store for you this next 5 days. It's time to get into the holiday spirit and with the chilly weather that we have been having in Minnesota, it's putting me in just the right mood.

I have 2 sets for this release, let me tell you a little about each one:

Peace, Be Still is probably my favorite set of everything that I have coming out this year in the Pinefeather Press line. It is a winter/holiday themed set that retails for $15. The simple snowflake designs are perfect for simple card designs or can be dressed up as elaborate as you want to make them. There is another image that I am not sharing just yet, you will see that a little later along with the sentiments ;) There is also a die cut set that coordinates perfectly with the 2 largest snowflakes (and the other image I just mentioned) or work to use completely on their own. My stamping desk is cover with lots of happy little snowflake shapes this week: felt, paper, glitter, embossing - I could probably make my own snowstorm if I threw them all into the air.

The second set is the 8th in the Fillable Frame series and it is a lovely shape that will work its way into your holiday projects and beyond. The frame image center is open and there are perfectly sized sentiments that fit into the opening so you can stamp your frame and sentiment at the same time. All of the frames and sentiments in the Fillable Frames are designed to work together and so your frame and sentiment combinations are endless - and you can use them on their own too. The frame has a coordinating die cut that you can purchase as well. The Fillable Frames #8 set will retail for $5.

Now onto my project that I have to share today... All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on September 15th at Papertrey Ink.

I pulled out my Background Basics: Woodgrain set and created the woodgrain look background on kraft cardstock. I used Dark Chocolate ink stamped off once to get a bit of a lighter tone of brown. The snowflakes are stamped in white across the background and I love the rustic/woodsy look that it made. Can't you just imagine it set on the mantle of a fireplace in a cozy cabin?

Check out this new die that is being released (besides the cute snowflake one of course!). It's called Tag Sale #1 and it is perfection for making gift tags. The sentiments you see are from the Fillable Frames #8 set and the felt snowflake is die cut with one of the new coordinating snowflake dies.

I used the frame image from Fillable Frames #8 for the focal point of the card in white one Scarlett Jewel cardstock with just a bit of new ribbon behind it.

There is more to see on this first day of the countdown! Nichole and Betsy are sharing the new Wreath for All Seasons & Holiday Spirit Sentiments sets. Alli, Beth, Becky, and Lisa will all have projects to share on their blogs with their new sets and Dawn will have lots of inspiration using the Color Couture collections being released this month.

See you back here tomorrow for day 2!
