signature series showcase and more

It's already day 5 of the Papertrey Ink November release countdown! Today is another design team group post and we are all sharing projects made with stamp sets from Dawn's new Signature Series sets. Dawn's recognizable handwriting is definitely her "signature" style. I know that so many of you out there have requested more sentiments that include her penmanship. Your wishes have been granted!

My project today uses the Signature Style: Butterfly set and coordinating die cut. After my group post project, keep reading for one last card project with my new Warm Happiness Too set.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available for purchase on November 15th (tomorrow!) at Papertrey Ink.

I did a distressed look on my card and tag set and played around more with the emboss resist technique - the bold shapes in the Signature Series sets are perfect for this technique. I also used the Tag Sale #1 die along with my new Fillable Frames #10 set and die cut to create the tag. After I had my tag designed, it was easy to transfer the tag right to the card front.

You can see the text showing through the butterfly shape. I stamped the text right on the kraft cardstock in Fresh Snow ink, let the ink dry, embossed the butterfly in clear over the top of the text, sponged Fresh Snow ink over the top of the image, wiped away the excess ink, and then crumpled the butterfly to distress it.

I used the same color combination to create this vintage look card with my new Warm Happiness Too set. I used the new Mat Stack 1 Collection set behind the main image and paper pieced the cup with paper from the Library Ledger patterned paper set.
