introducing simple sentiments & fillable frames #12

Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink January release! It's going to be a fun next few days of projects shared made with new sets and products that will be available to purchase on January 15th. I have 2 sets coming out for this release and you might see a few images that I contributed to a certain tag set. There's going to be a definite birthday celebration feeling this month and that is great, because I need to build up my birthday card stash. There's nothing like being able to grab that card and go when you need it... I know you know what I mean!

My first set I would like to introduce you to is Simple Sentiments. This set is a collection of common and often used card making sentiments that include a line of coordinating sentiment words and phrases underneath the highlighted one. There is something for just about any everyday and special occasion. This set retails for $24.

Here's my first birthday card of the countdown:

I used another new item coming out this month that Nichole will share more about soon. I die cut the numbers out of several patterned papers to go across my card. To add the sentiment I stamped it repeatedly across a 3/4" vellum cardstock strip with True Black ink. Once I had the numbers adhered into place, I attached the vellum strip down over the numbers and then stitched down the top and bottom edges with my sewing machine.

I added a glittered star to finish off this festive card that is suitable for pretty much anyone!

Next up let me introduce you to Filllable Frames #12. This is the 12th frame to wrap up this year long series of frames. The frame image center is open and there are perfectly sized sentiments that fit into the opening so you can stamp your frame and sentiment at the same time. All of the frames and sentiments in the Fillable Frames series are designed to work together, so your frame and sentiment combinations are endless - and you can use them on their own too. The frame has a coordinating die cut that you can purchase as well. The Fillable Frames #12 set and die will retail for $5 each.

I have a sweet little card to share today that uses the frame image and then I added the sentiment (also from Fillable Frames #12) onto the Jar Label die along with a glittered heart. The pretty little bottom edge of this card is a new die from Dawn.

This "wishing you the best" sentiment can be used for so many occasions: birthday, congratulations, wedding, etc. Definitely a good type of card to keep in your stash.

There are more sneak peeks to see today: Nichole and Betsy are sharing projects with Melissa's new Way to Go, Kiddo! set. Dawn will be sharing lots of her new stamps and products over on her blog too!

See you back here tomorrow for day 2 of the countdown! Thanks so much!
