designing for papertrey...

Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink 4th anniversary festivities!

  Pinefeatherpresslogo

I am excited to say that 2011 will be my 3rd year designing stamps for Papertrey Ink. Rustic Branches debuted in August 2008 and it's amazing to me what I have been able to add to the Pinefeather Press line since! I really love this job and am constantly brainstorming, reading input on the forums, and designing/illustrating stamp designs throughout the year.

You need to know that the way I am able to do this job, is perfect for me and my family. I am able to work from home which enables me to care for my girls - especially the extra care that Tacy needs. Tacy's needs and busy schedule of appointments really require a flexible work schedule. Papertrey Ink is able to provide that for me and I am ever so grateful. Plus the best part? I LOVE what I do. This is what I dreamed of being growing up and I am doing it. It still amazes me. And I work with the best people and customers too!

We are so excited to welcome Maile Belles to the stamp designer team - I am so excited to see what she has in store for Papertrey! Congratulations Maile!

Today, each of the stamp designers created a tag that is part of a free download. I have the download available here at the end of this post, or you can download it over at Nichole's blog.

I created this "thinking of you" tag for the download and here is a little collection of cards that I made with it. My tag is designed to have a "full bleed" which means that the design extends to 1 7/8" so that when you punch or die cut the circle the design reaches all the way to the edge. Melon Berry and a lighter shade of Ripe Avocado are the colors in my tag design.

There's another contest today over at Nichole's blog that you aren't going to want to miss - especially if you have had ideas and would like to try your hand at doing some stamp designing yourself...!  You can also link up to all of the other stamp designers blogs to see what they created with their tag designs.

Here is the download file of tags:
