fruit fusion, more roadtrip & tag-its #4

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! Today the whole design team is sharing projects made with Melissa's new Fruit Fusion stamp set and die collection. I also have a few other projects to share made with some of my new sets further down in the post.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on May 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Cherries are a favorite of mine. My daughter Hana and I fight over who gets to eat the cherry from an ice cream sundae all the time!

We had a first birthday party celebration for my friend Brianna's little girl to go to this week. I made up her card and gift tag in Pure Poppy and Raspberry Fizz with the Cherries set. It turned so cute for a little girl.

I die cut the cherries and the number "1" from felt and then used embroidery floss and backstitched just inside the outside borders of the shapes. Doing the embroidery really makes the cherries look like an embellishment that you might purchase at a scrapbook store. It just took a little bit of time and definitely saved some money too!

I did the felt cherries again on the gift tag and personalized it with the Simple Alphabet set.

You could have so much fun with expanding the cherry theme for a whole birthday party ensemble - so cute & fun!

Next up I have a clean and simple graduation card design combining my new Road Trip and Tag-its #4 sets.

I stamped the map texture image in True Black ink onto Smokey Shadow cardstock to make and all over map background. I also stamped the map texture onto a strip of white cardstock that I added to the bottom edge of the card. There's yet more of the map texture stamped on a 1 3/4" white circle in Smokey Shadow ink. I added the Tag-its #4 circle frame and graduation cap in True Black over the map texture on the punched circle.

The Double Ended Banner die cuts in Soft Stone hold the "happy graduation" and "adventure awaits" sentiments. the perfect combination of sentiments for graduation wishes.

And finally for today, here is a title page for my Summer Road Trip album that I am working on. I did it in a 6" x 12" size. I like this size for creating a title page and also for dividing an album into sections. This album will hold photos and I will add in the scrapbook pages in their appropriate places.

Here's a peek at the map showing all of the places we stopped along the way. I don't think I will ever get tired of this map image!

I have a nice little stack of scrapbook pages building up for this book! Using elements repeatedly really pulls the book design together. The pages look like they belong together.

Don't forget to stop by Nichole's blog to link up to the whole design team's Fruit Fusion projects. DawnMelissa, and Tiffany will have projects to share again today too!
