stamp-a-faire: papertrey ink creative retreat
introducing tag-its #6

rustic branches revisited

Happy July everyone! Summer is already flying by!

It is time for the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge. Today we are revisiting Rustic Branches - my very first set that I released with Papertrey in August 2008. It has a pretty special place in my heart and when it was released I was at a stamping retreat with so many good friends that helped me celebrate. It was a night that I will never forget!

For today's project I did a little paper piecing with the branch image...

The main image area is ATC sized (2 1/2" x 3 1/2".) I stamped the branches in True Black ink onto kraft cardstock. I used an assortment of patterned papers in greenish colors (Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss, New Leaf, etc.) for the leaves. The leaves are little, so you can only see just a bit of the pattern in the paper, but it's just enough :)

I stamped the "thankful" sentiment onto a 1 1/2" circle punched from some patterned paper from the Pretty Pastels collection and then added it to the top of the kraft cardstock piece. The card base is layered with a few more patterned paper pieces, some Ripe Avocado ribbon, and some buttons tied on with button twine.

See what the rest of the senior design team created to share for this challenge: NicholeBetsyDawnLisa, and Mish all have projects to share today.
