stamp-a-faire & iconic images
July 23, 2011
Today is the day! Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-Faire is here! Even if you are not with us at the event, there are giveaways & contest happening over at Nichole's blog today so you can play along with us!
There is an exclusive stamp set that you can get free by placing and order that is $100 or over today only (July 23, 2011) at Papertrey Ink: Iconic Images!
I had a lot of fun with this set to create this vintage/shabby look. I embossed the patterns and images in the set in white on kraft cardstock to create my own custom background paper. The look reminds me of vintage wallpaper or flooring...
For the main image on my card, I embossed the pitcher image in white on Rustic Cream cardstock, added the plant stems and flowers, and then stamped other patterns from Iconic Images and Postmarks (there are a few familiar Postmark images in the Iconic Images set!) around the main image in Chai ink from the Tea Dye Duo inks.
Then came distressing, paper wrinkling, and more tea staining with the Tea Dye Duo inks.
The whole design team is sharing projects created with the Iconic Images set today - you can link up to everyone over at Nichole's blog. And remember to check out the giveaways and challenges while you are there!
Happy stamping to everyone taking part in Stamp-a-Faire today!
