gratitude journal & more halloween

Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown -the last day of sneak peek projects for the new stamp sets and products that will go on sale tonight at midnight Eastern time!

Today is another group post day and we are all sharing projects made with Dawn's new Gratitude Journal set. I also have a few more Halloween cards to share with you as well.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th (tomorrow!) at Papertrey Ink.

I created a scrapbook page for my project. Scrapbooking is one of the best ways to express your thankfulness and gratitude for what you have in your life. Taking the time to capture and record memories and events in your life really expresses this message to your family. I put this page toegether with a family photo froma recent camping trip. I jotted down some things that I am thankful for to put this page together.

Using the sentiment included in the Gratitude Journal set are great to jumpstart journaling for a scrapbook page.

They also make great accents and embellishments for your pages. I stamped the "it's the little things..." sentiment onto a Wood Mat that I cut in half and added the "grateful" circle image that I stamped onto a paper from the Fall Prints & Patterns patterned paper collection.

You will want to link up to all of the projects that the design team created with Gratitude Journal over at Nichole's blog.

This card was just a fun one to put together. I noticed that the frame image in Fillable Frames Additions 2 that coordinates with Fillable Frames #11 looks like a gravestone when tipped on its side. I added the frame image in Fresh Snow onto the True Black die cut and then used Simple Alphabet to add "RIP". Instead of using the treat bucket die for the bat's head, I used a punched oval.

All in all, a fun Halloweeny card to put together ;)

And finally, one more treat bucket card. I die cut the bitty treat bucket from Orange Zest felt and then added the outline and face by stitching with embroidery floss. The sentiment is added in the Tag-its #7 frame and the background is the new Background Basics: Houndstooth that I stamped in True Black ink onto Smokey Shadow cardstock.
