holiday photo finishers

Welcome to day 5, the last day of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown! Today is another group post and this one is so much fun! We are all using the Holiday Photo Finishers set and have created photo cards to inspire you to move beyond the regular ordered photo card. Mix up the photo with a little paper crafting to make that card just a little bit more special. I tucked my little snowman from Tag-its #8 into the projects that I have to share today, so be on the lookout for him!

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase September 15th (tomorrow!) from Papertrey Ink.

The tri-fold cards are 3 1/2" x 5" when closed and so are sized perfectly for a 3 1/2" x 5" photo card. There are SO many ways that you can personalize your card from the white base. I chose to keep things simple and add my elements right to the white. It simplifies the process of mass production. I can assemble the little elements and then set up an assembly line station to attach everything into the card base. The circle element on the front is a part of the Holiday Photo Finishers set stamped on some stamped patterned paper that I had leftover from a project way back made with Guide Lines Two. I added the year to the image with the Library Ledger Years Addition set.

Opening the first flap of the tri-fold card reveals the sentiment that I used from the new Stylish Sentiments: Holiday. On the right side there is my little snowman guy. I dug out 2010 Holiday Tags to use the postmark stamp that I designed for that set.

Opening the next flap reveals this little memory image also from Holiday Photo Finishers - I can see using this stamp on so many scrapbook pages!

In the middle of the inside is where I attached our family photo (from one of our camping trips this past summer.) I used one of the Photo Finish Strip dies across the bottom of the photo cut from more patterned paper that I had stamped with the Guide Lines Two set. I stamped the "Peace & Joy" sentiment right over the top!

Here's another look at the card so you can get a better idea of the layout.

The Holiday Photo Finshers set can also be used for non-photo cards as well...

To create this coordinating card, I used many of the same elements that I used on the photo card. Abit of stamped Guide Lines Two paper, the little snowman, the postmark image from 2010 Holiday Tags, and then I added in a felt snowflake left over from the snowman tags I shared earlier in the countdown.
