winterberry, tag-its #9, and think big favorites #9

Hey everyone! It's day 2 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown. Today I have more projects to share that use my new Winterberry and Tag-its #9 sets as well as this month's Think Big Favorites set.

Think Big Favorites #9 includes super sized sentiments found in the previously released 2010 Holiday Tags Collection. This set retails for $5.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on October 15th at Papertrey Ink.

There are 4 projects today, so let's get going...

For this first card I used a berry branch flourish that was also included on a tag in the 2010 Holiday Tags Collection. This image has popped up in many places this past year. It has been made into an impression plate, made a couple of appearances in some of my patterned paper collections, and is also on my box band (the paper band at the top of your stamp set box.) It seems to be a perfect match to pair this with a sentiment from the same original set! The border on the bottom edge was created by stamping 3 seperate patterned cardstock pieces, cutting them into 1" squares, and piecing them across the bottom of the card. There's nothing like a custom matched accent for your paper crafting projects!

I broke out my red rhinestones to add the berries to this berry branch flourish. They are the perfect finishing touch, don't you think?

Another fun element that I included in the Winterberry set are these 3 ornaments. They are just perfect for hanging off of sentiments (like this one from Think Big Favorites #9), branches, and other images.

I used the solid circle image, included in the set, to add color to each of the ornaments. That makes this card simple & quick - perfect for mass production!

Moving on to the Tag-its #9 set, I had so much fun creating this card/tag set. I used the reverse masking technique to put Santa from the new Tremendous Treats: Christmas set into the circle frame. Isn't he just the cutest? On the card is another sentiment from Think Big Favorites #9.

I used the Mat Stack 3 die along with the new larger Layerz Mat Stack 3 die to create a base for the framed Santa. There's lots of glitter that I added to the edge of the Limitless Layers die and to the bottom of the card and tag edges. Santa is colored with Copic markers and a Signo white pen. I have my Satrdust pen permanently on my work desk for all of my holiday projects that I have been working on.

Here's one last card & tags project with the Tag-its #9 set. I love the new Tag Sale #5 die! It's such a perfect shape for the holidays and I can definitely see it on many formal themed projects as well. To create the frame piece that I added to the kraft tag, I stamped the circle frame in Ripe Avocado ink, added the holly florish with Spring Moss ink and used a Copic marker for the berries. The sentiments stamped perfectly right over the top of the image with out looking too busy.

I put the holly image to use with white ink to create a coordinating strip for the edge of the card front.

My card and tag pile is growing! Maybe it's time to start shopping for gifts to package up with all of these pretty things?
