all booked up revisited

Happy New Year, everyone! I can hardly believe that another year has come and gone... I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and end of the year.

Today is time for another Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge! We all revisited the All Booked Up set that originally debuted in July 2010.

My girls both love books, especially my Tacy. My very favorite thing is to find her sitting in a pile of her books pulled from her bookcase. She loves to page through the books and study the pictures and can spend a long time doing it. I used the All Booked Up set to make up a set of book plates for some of Tacy's most special books.

This particular quote that I used on the card is one of my very favorites, especially in regards to my feelings towards my girls and their love of books and reading. I had a little fun with some white and shimmer mists on my card background!

I cut book plates with the Mat Stack 3 die using the white adhesive sheets. That way, the labels are ready to stick into books right away. I also used some of the die cuts to label the front of the small glassine bag that holds the collection of book plates.

The die cut Tacy's name using paper from the Green Boutique collection and the Block Alphabet dies. Before I die cut the letters, I ran the patterned paper through my Xyron to apply adhesive to the back side. I stamped the main tree image in Fresh Snow ink onto kraft cardstock (that had been run through my Xyron), punched them out with a 1 3/4" circle punch, and then attached them to the book plate labels.
